Specifications for the upcoming Galaxy S24, Samsung S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra have been posted online, along with compelling evidence for a January 17th launch.

If the rumors are to be believed, we are less than a month away from the launch of Samsung’s latest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S24 series. On X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, leaker Evan Blass has shared what appears to be an early look at a countdown to the next Galaxy Unpacked event. It indicates that “Galaxy AI is coming” on January 18th at 3 AM KST. This translates to 1 PM ET on January 17th, aligning with a previously reported launch date. Blass also shared a leaked spec sheet for the three devices, confirming many of their previously rumored features.

According to the spec sheet, Samsung is once again planning to offer three models as part of the range. There’s the standard Galaxy S24 with a 6.2-inch screen, the S24 Plus, which goes up to 6.7 inches, and the S24 Ultra, which has a 6.8-inch screen. The spec sheet lists all three as being powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. However, there are rumors suggesting that outside the United States, Canada, and China, the phones will be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 2400.

In terms of cameras, the S24 Ultra appears to feature a 200-megapixel main sensor, which is the same as the S23 Ultra. Meanwhile, the S24 and S24 Plus max out at 50 megapixels. The telephoto lens on the S24 Ultra is expected to provide up to a 10x zoom capability, whereas the other two models can achieve up to 3x zoom.

Other rumored camera specifications include 10-megapixel telephoto sensors on the S24 and S24 Plus, and the Ultra model is said to come with a pair of telephoto lenses. One of these lenses boasts a 50-megapixel resolution and a 5x optical zoom, which can supposedly be cropped to provide a 10x zoom. The second telephoto lens on the Ultra is reported to be 10-megapixels with a 3x optical zoom Samsung S24.

If you desire a comprehensive view of the phones in various colors and angles, the images shared by Arsène Lupin on X have got you covered. The three phones maintain a striking resemblance to their 2023 predecessors. However, it’s worth noting that the S24 Ultra is rumored to feature a completely flat screen this time, as indicated by earlier leaks, departing from the subtle curves observed on the S23 Ultra. The available color options comprise black, gray, purple, and yellow, although there might be additional color choices offered through Samsung’s official store.

Overall, it appears that Samsung’s flagship lineup may see iterative improvements from a hardware perspective. However, from a software standpoint, there seems to be more excitement on the horizon, especially considering the teaser “Galaxy AI is coming” in Blass’s countdown timer. Last month, the Korea Times reported that Samsung’s generative AI model, known as “Gauss,” might be integrated into the upcoming Galaxy S24 series and operate directly on the device. This AI could be used to generate and edit images, compose emails, summarize documents, and assist with coding. Samsung has also expressed its intentions to employ AI for real-time phone call translation. These features could provide Samsung with a compelling advantage as it strives to compete with Google’s latest AI-powered Pixel devices Samsung S24.

Will there be a Samsung S24?

The Samsung Galaxy S24 is anticipated to debut in January 2024. The new flagship phones will be revealed at the Galaxy Unpacked event. This series will showcase the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.

How much does the Galaxy S24 Ultra cost?

The rumored price for the Galaxy S24 Ultra indicates that the base version, expected to include 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, will likely be priced at $1,199. This pricing is on par with the launch price of the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
